Day 1 we will begin at St. Vincent, Blue Lagoon located at the south coast city of Calliaqua. Young Island, a short trip from the marina, is a great place to get settled in and enjoy the amazing views, snorkeling. Fort Duvernette, next to Young Island, was built in the 1800s and once protected a main port of St. Vincent. There are 255 steps that take you to 3 different viewing areas of the old fort. Relaxing on board and taking in the amazing view, swimming, and enjoying cocktails in this beautiful anchorage is also a great way to start off your SVG adventure!
Day 2, we will set sail for the Island of Mustique. A 15 mile journey to Britannia Bay. Mustique is a beautiful island that has caught the eye of many wealthy people. It covers over 1400 acres of nature trails with different options of exploring them. There is great snorkeling on the reefs around the island as well. No shortage of fun here. A great place to take in the views of the Caribbean Sea. have some cocktails, and enjoy some food at Basil's Bar and Restaurant located right in Britannia Bay.
Our 13 mile sail from Mustique will bring us to our next destination of Canouan. The name Canouan comes from the Arawak tribes of the Caribbean meaning Island of Turtles. With beautiful shallow reefs this makes it great for snorkeling and scuba diving. Charlestown Bay offers white sand beaches to relax or experience Caribbean culture. Also home to Sandy Lane Marina this is a great spot to anchor outside of to enjoy Shenanigans Bar & Restaurant and fresh pastries from their French Bakery.
Our next stop is at the beautiful island of Mayreau. We will anchor off at Salt Whistle Bay, a popular destination for sailing catamarans. Enjoy the picturesque white sand of Half Moon Beach, take a short walk to the top of Station Hill for breathtaking photos of the Tobago Cays. The Saltwhistle Bay Beach Club is a great spot for cocktails and unwinding from the day.
Located just south of Salt Whistle Bay is the Tobago Cays Marine Park. The Tobago Cays have crystal clear waters protected by a horseshoe reef. This is a great place to arrange a rendezvous scuba dive with one of the local dive shops. The diving here is world renowned with its pristine reefs and sea life. They require going with a certified dive operator to ensure the area remains pristine. The Tobago Cays also offer beach barbecues hosted by some great people! It can arranged one of these unforgettable experiences. The Picturesque views of Tobago truly is a gem of the Caribbean and a must see when in the Grenadines.
Union Island is a great island with a lot of history from the Carib and Arawak tribes. Home to two great anchorages, Clifton Harbor and Chatham Bay. Clifton Harbor is home to the small Caribbean town Clifton and the bay is very well known for KiteSurfing. They offer kiteboarding lessons or maybe get lucky enough to watch them show off their skills in the bay. The Anchorage at Chatham Bay is a large open anchorage with a large white sand beach and some great snorkeling. It has some small Caribbean beach bars and Tenuta beach resort. Great spot to enjoy the afternoon and evening.
Bequia meaning "Island in the Clouds" in Arawak A nice 25 mile sail to Port Elizebeth, Bequal is a great way to spend the morning. Port Elizebeth is a pleasant Caribbean town with a waterfront walk with multiple restaurants and shops over to Princess Margaret Beach (named after Princess Margarett of the Royal Family). There is Captain Jack's bar and restaurant on Princess Margaret Beach, a great place to watch an unforgettable sunset.
The final morning of your adventure around the Grenadines we will take a short sail in the morning back to Blue Lagoon on St Vincent. This short trip across the channel has amazing views of both St Vincent and Bequal.
No itinerary is set in stone. Weather can also dictate which places we can visit and still be comfortable. There are many different options in the Grenadines such as Spas at top resorts, horseback riding, scuba diving, hiking, biking, snorkeling, beach barbecues, pig roasts with live music, and much more.
