The months from May to September offer warm temperatures and moderate winds. July and August are peak season with higher boat traffic, while September and October offer optimal conditions with fewer tourists.
The prevailing winds are the northwesterly Mistral, which can be strong in the Bonifacio Strait. Anchorages in the area are typically over sand and posidonia, so responsible anchoring is advised. Be mindful of currents in the Bocca di Bonifacio, which can be strong under certain conditions.
