With the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and three of the four major atolls in the Caribbean, including the famous Blue Hole, Belize is considered one of the top three dive destinations in the Caribbean. The waters are teeming with marine life of all shapes and sizes, including 70 types of hard corals and almost 500 species of fish. It is also a perfect place for other sports such as skiing, kayaking, kite surfing, windsurfing and fishing.

Belize is the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle, and discover the beauty of its five ecosystems: mountains, rivers, savannah, jungle and, the Caribbean Sea. Sailing conditions in Belize are almost perfect, thanks to the north-south barrier reef and the trade winds, sailing is protected. As well as enjoying the sea, there are events all year round in Belize with live bands, competitions, karaoke and restaurants of all kinds.

Best time to charter It's best to visit in the dry season, from late November to the middle or end of April. The rainy season runs from June to November.

AMBERGRIS CAYE

Ambergris Caye is located in the northernmost part of Belize, near the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Located just off the barrier reef, it is one of the best places in the world for scuba diving, snorkelling and sport fishing. The main town, San Pedro, has the largest range of tourist facilities in Belize, including arts and crafts shops, boutique hotels, fine dining establishments and plenty of local restaurants to explore. The ideal way to explore is to rent a golf buggy and visit the north, where there are fun beach bars and world-famous beach bars, boutique retreats for spa treatments and some of the island's best beaches to relax on, including Secret Beach.
